It makes me wonder how the dumos are going to spin the economic issues for the 2004 campaign. Consider that the 1990's "boom" was just a lot of puffery - excessive noise about technology, especially the internet - and the bust was caused by the crash of the technology oriented, new technology stocks. So, his "futurism" caused the bust, in my view. Yes, there is advantage to technology, and it improves productivity. But, I'm sure most of you remember that anything with a .com boomed with all their bullshit. The fault lies just as much with the politicians and their noise as with idiot stock traders. So, this will all be interesting. I though these guys were populists, too (naive rooling of eyes). So, now he's in the camp of business. Just another liberal hypocrite. Business is bad unless it's lining their pockets. I may just pass on the new MAC. Maybe I'll make my old system do and add Linux (my major gripe was the crummy Windows). |
