I have a property line that has nuisance maple trees that come back thicker hardier, and more smaller ones all around it after I cut them down. Can I drill in a tube and funnel some undiluted weed killer to kill it 100% then cut it down?

Is there a better way? I prefer not to dig out the roots If possible.

Strip eight inches of bark off the trunk of the tree all the way around.  The closer to the ground, the better.

The trees will die.

Tordon RTU, get a quart of it at you local Farm supply store. It's the shit!

I've mixed it with a gallon of water in a sprayer to kill re-emerging mulberries I cut back, knocked the dogfuck out of them. You can also drill holes in the trunks and squirt it full strength into the holes, but spraying the leaves, stems and trunk really well did the trick on my mulberries.

I'm going to mix a quart with some 2-4D in my 30 gallon tank sprayer and go to war on my wild blackberries this weekend.

Spike and Crossbow are herbicides aimed at woody brush control and either should work if used at labeled rates.

I use a lot of spike on my pastures but I don't know it if is labeled for maple. Crossbow and Remedy definitely is though.

I don't know the details that well but I'm pretty sure the answer is at least three power implements of some sort from the DRPower company.

Don't worry about the cost, since most likely one of them can double as a gravel rake.

I have killed many trees and turned them into firewood using a drill with a 3/8 bit to drill 2-3 angled hole's down into the trunk, clean out the hole with the drill good, then drop in a couple oz's of round-up with a small bottle, in 2 weeks trees will be dead as a stone.

Tordon is great stuff for controlling larger trees and maybe this guys solution. I got the impression he was dealing with saplings over a large area which should succumb to a good spraying.

There are a couple that are 15 or 20 ft tall already. I'm not sure just spraying them will work. I cut them down every year then more of them grow and grow bigger.

Is the answer to cut them down and then spray the poison? I want them dead. Like so dead someone leaves a memorial on the side of the road ,then I scatter it into the street and start another thread asking if it was immoral.

Cut them down in the fall, then immediately spray the stumps with 10% glosphate.  If you don't spray the stumps, they will grow back with a vengeance.

I do this with both Silver Maple trees and Autumn Olive bushes.   They both are very invasive.
