| You can bring one founding father back for a full day or go back and talk to them all. Which do you do? How do you think they would react to the future? Who do you bring? |

I'd go back and talk to them all with a snapshot of today's political climate and tell them to make the Constitution so clear that there is no room for misinterpretation and term limits from day one |

The founding fathers did just fine, I'd use the opportunity to right some other wrongs. I can think of a few.
Perhaps tell Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria to stay away from Sarajevo. No WW-1 no Hitler. Tell Gen. Jackson to stay in camp the night he was shot at Chancellorsville. Tell Gen. Lee to listen to Longstreet. Of course I could say fuck it, go back to 1980, leverage everything I owned, begged money from family and friends, and put it all into Eaton Vance (EV). BTW.....$1,000 invested in Eaton Vance in 1980 would be worth over $1.3 million dollars today. |

I would go back and talk to Jefferson, I would convince him to agree with John Adams that slavery can't continue. By doing that I would eliminate a ton of strife in this country. I would also have him write the Constitution in such a way that it is almost impossible to misconstrue. Oh and add term limits. I would also bring a lot of things that were very valuable back then but cheap today. Maybe spices, or tea, or silk. I would then trade it for lots of Gold. Profit!! |

Go back to the fathers and give them schematics and abilities to produce automatic weapons. And ask them to write "suck it, commie" in tiny writing throughout the constitution. |

You have 220+ years of perfect hindsight, so fix it yourselves." |

I would take engineering text books, shop manuals for various pieces of machinery with diagrams and schematics for said machines, metallurgy books, and the latest unabridged encyclopedia with me. I also would take various firearms and lots of ammo.
The Delorean has lots of space for this, right? |
| I'd go back and talk to them all and explain how the commie socialists wormed their way into the fabric of the country with the intent to subvert it by twisting their words and intent. I would work with them to proofread everything and make the necessary changes to make everything legally plain and bulletproof against Liberal interpretations and creative subversion of the original intent. |
| All the people who say they'd go back and help re-write the constitution are kidding themselves. There is not way you can write that document to be "clear", it would just get misinterpreted another way. The meaning of words changes throughout the social progression of society. Plus I highly doubt any of them would be interested in being so specific and essentially having "king-like" commands. They did the best they could at the time and fucking with it would just make the future worse, guaranteed. |

If you could go back to 1980, with what is known today, with a thousand dollars, you could be a multi-trillionaire. |

Term limits, limits on political donations, restrict lawyers from running for any office, more restrictions on the executive branch.............. The constitution would be about 3 times as long as it was originally. We have term limits already. When you get voted out of office, your term is over. And how can a senator or house representative possibly write, change, abolish, update or do anything meaningful to laws if they aren't a lawyer? |
