I use LEOSA.

[#2]
Use it all the time.

Every time I see a cop on there I yell "Whoop whoop, thats the sound of dah police" in my best rasta impersonation.

IDK why, but it's become a tradition.

That has to be the worst article ever.

If you drive across the country with a gun, you need Waze!

I use it all the time. Every cop in my area on the side of the road shooting radar or laser is always marked including the local town/county guys who aren't on the highways.
7/6/2015 11:29:03 AM EDT
[#5]
I am a fan. The other side of it is that it is Google and they are tracking you with your permission . It works well but is not 100% consider it about 95% on cop accuracy

My wife uses it all the time.  I, however, dont need directions...  I dont get lost.

It depends on the size of your town and how many drivers have it.

Won't install apps that require access to my ENTIRE phone

Ha!  Like any cop is gonna ticket another cop!

I use it every time I hit the Interstate.  I aught to use it every time I drive.

Only downside is I haven't figured out easy reporting yet, and it drains your battery if you're not plugged in.

I use it when I drive on the interstate.   Its fun to lol at the speed traps.
7/6/2015 11:43:37 AM EDT
[#12]
I've found it to be 100% worthless. And I drive ~9,000 miles a year almost exclusively on high ways.

It might as well generate it's own warnings at random and I'd have the same result.

That don't work down here and I'm not a cop anymore, ask the GA trooper who pulled me over last week.

Anyone remember the thread here where a cop said he'd go on waze and remove his patrol car being tagged, then people told him that only removes it on his phone

I feel the same way. If you look at all the permissions most apps want it's ridiculous/bullshit.

Same here. It helps me find the shortest route that I didn't know about, or how to get from where I am back to the interstate.

When traffic is bad on I-5 it shows me several bypass routes to save time.

This weekend, I drove by two WI State Troopers running radar that showed up as stationary Wazers.

I marked them as cops.  Chances are they don't realize they can't over-ride their tags, one < many....

No but he was extremely polite and didn't care that I was carrying and had a passeger seat full of guns.

Great app.

Just this weekend it warned me about an object in the road. Slowed down and paid extra attention. Sure enough, just a bit ahead, a big chunk of angle iron in the road.

Use it all the time. very useful for traffic and police warnings.  But it can only handle a trip length of under 1000 miles, so if you are actually driving cross country it's a bit annoying.

It's also saved me from hitting things (mainly shitty retread truck tires ).

Love it.

Constantly warns me about retread pieces in the road on 85.
