Than it does during the daytime?  Yesterday it topped 100 degrees during the day (and I think it got even hotter today) but last night I went outside when it was 80 degrees and around 90% RH and sweated moreso than during the day.

Does the sun keep you cool or something?

Humidity and dew point. Less wind can come into play as well and also plays into the previous two.

If the dew point stays the same it will feel hotter as the temp drops.

Humidity ramps up since cooler air has less capacity to hold vapor

Commonly refereed to as Vortex Immersion.  At night the ambient air will rise and create a VI causing the air to feel warmer than it is.  Kind of like a wind chill effect.

VI=2/1 degrees over Amb -1

The best class offered was How to Detect Sarcasm and Fun 101.  Obviously you all did not attend an accredited curriculum.

80 at night sounds pretty miserable.  Looks like 71 was the "highest low" in recorded history here.

I think we're experiencing Houston like weather.  Sometimes it gets so humid at night there is even condensation on wood.

Dew point is higher than air temp. Means your sweat doesn't do shit. Your body can't cool it's skin.

It's how you can get heat index of 130 with 85 degree temps.

I've stopped paying attention to humidity and only dew point. That will tell you how it really feels.

Dammit. I want some weather gurus to school me. I play a game where I try to guess the dew point based on how hot it feels then check weather app.

I think it partly has to do with our senses.  Do you ever notice that the night seems quieter and/or you hear more sounds at night?

I think your mind isn't preoccupied with the sights/sounds that occur when it's daytime, so you just seem to notice the heat more at night.  I know it sounds stupid but it makes sense to me.
