Anyone use them?
It seems like an easy way to get a system without spending hours researching and spec'ing parts which saves time and is beginner friendly. As a bonus, it seems they offer discounts when you buy in a combo. Depending upon which one you get, it looks like all you'd really want to add to an order is maybe a SSD and some RAM. Thoughts? |
| I can't recommend any specifics but going with an AMD over an Intel processor will save a few $. I've had several of each and I think the AMD's are a pretty good value-same thing with video cards, both brands are pretty neck and neck. Cases are cases, not a huge difference in cheap ones and expensive ones. Always easy to add $10 fans later if needed. One place to not skimp is power supplies, getting a big enough one up front will give you the option of a bigger video card later. Refurbished hard drives save a few more $, my current PC has a hard drive and a SSD. I got a small SSD for games and the hard drive for everything else. Was much cheaper than a big SSD for everything. |
