| Any of you current military types handled an FN manufactured M-16? I am curious what type of markings they have on the uppers and lowers. |
|
I read on the magazine board that FN uppers are being sold at gunshows. I think I will go to Tanner this weekend and see if I can find any. I guess they also sell FN mags in wrap, but I would check the date. If they sell the uppers, can the receivers be far behind. |
| On the left side of the magwell is the FN logo, a FN inside an oval. Underneath is Property of US Government, serial number, and M16A2, Cal 5.56 NATO. Above the trigger pins is stamped FNMI, Columbia, SC etc, like the old Colt's Mfg Hartford Conn text. Safe Semi Burst around the selector. To the best of my memory - I don't own one. [:(] |
