I am looking at possibly selling a Aimpoint Comp M4 and magnifier to help pay for a Summer reading program for my youngest  daughter. However, before I do, I wanted to see whether or not $650 is a fair price?

This is not a for sale post. Right now I just have a lot going on and not a lot of time to research the market like a normally would. (Besides, I am still not sure that this is how I want to go about paying for a summer reading program.)

I appreciate any feedback the hive can provide.

$650 isn't a bad price.  Plus, you can ask whatever you want.  Put it up for sale on the EE, you should be good.

Aren't the magnifiers like $400 by themselves? I think people get $400-$500 for the comp m4 by itself.

Eta here's a magnifier that sold and the seller was asking $500 http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_163/1420313_Leupold_MK4_and_Aimpoint_magnifier.html

Here's a comp m4s w/larue mount that sold and the seller was asking $650 http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_163/1437381_SPF_Aimpoint_Comp_M4s_in_Larue_LT659_Lower_1_3rd__LIKE_NEW_CONDITION.html

Yea, but I have had them for like 3 or 4 years. While they are still more or less in perfect condition, I do not expect to get "new" prices out of them.

I think you would be leaving a lot of money on the table if you sold both for $650

You might ask here if there (Im sure we have many primary teachers) are any free summer reading programs that they would recommend

Our daughters 2nd grade teacher recommended some and then said you can pay for it, but I would recommend that you look at this one which is free.  It doesnt have all of the bells and whistles but does the same thing

Apparently Baylor has a great children's summer reading program here in San Antonio that my daughters teacher suggested. However, it is $380 for 2 to 3 hours a week for 5 weeks. (Yea that seems rather high to me as well.) My son is about to go into 1st grade and could use it as well, but that is another $380.
