How long as Raven Concealment been making holsters & where did they come from, seems everywhere you look people are saying how good they are.

Are they as good as the internet rumor mill says?

Awesome holsters.  Buy one and see.

Since about 2006.  I have an older phantom and a new vanguard.  They're good.  I also have a Com-Tac Infidel and a holster made by Peters.  All three companies are known for quality, and the quality is similar.  I recommend any of the three.

Had one for over 6 years and it's good as new. Would buy again.

I've been buying them since early 2008. Of course back then I used to just call Jay and tell him I needed a holster. Oh how times change.  I blame the YETI.

They've been around for a while. They were doing kydex (and still are) but my understanding is Michael's ultimate goal was to make injected molded holsters. Looks like he's achieving it.

I'm happy with mine

Well, I like mine. Hardware and kydex are both nice.

I think the first ones I bought from him were back in 2005 or 2007. When they were made out of thin kydex. I was happy when they switched over to the thick kydex.

I ordered one in 2011. Took like 4 months for them to make it and ship it.

Great quality

Ahh, back during "the craze". I've never had to actually wait on them, they're usually at my door within a few days of order. I do order for glocks, though.

J&M makes better holsters.  Raven is good, just a bit dated.

Got one in the mail yesterday for my Glock 17L.  Damn smooth insertion, really surprised me how good it felt.  The gun felt like it just dropped into the holster while still having proper retention and no wiggle.

I like Raven holsters and have had one since 2008.  Really miss the basic over belt clips they used to sell but they would often break (which is probably why they don't sell them anymore).  I bought a bunch at one point so I'm good for a while.

There's other manufactures out there who make a similar product for less money today but I don't have much experience with a lot of them.  Handgun forum is a great place for that kind of info.

Never had a problem with any of mine.

On the other hand my Bravo Concealment for my Walther PPS was a piece of junk.

Yup. I really like the design, but it isn't rocket surgery.

Who is J&M?

Kydex holster company.  A bit smaller, but their gear is more innovative.  Their belt holster is much more streamlined than the traditional Kydex pancake models.

Now if they would only make one for a real pistol AKA 1911 I would also have one

Raven is pretty much the only OWB holster I use. I think there are better options for IWB though, like Crossbreed and Comptac

Their quick ship in-stock items ship fast. It's a pretty good holster. I prefer JM Custom, but they have a 9-10 week lead time. Well worth it. Their OWB conceals better than the Raven, in my opinion, and has a retention screw.

Good product, good friends and a great company to work with.  I have several holsters...You will not be disappointed.  Jeff

They're ridiculously overpriced for what they are. Search for local guys making kydex holsters, and you should be able to find some that are of very high quality for nearly half the price of a Raven.

I carry a G19 in a Phantom daily, except when I'm places where I can't.

I have at least 5 Raven Phantom light holsters for my light equipped pistols. They're excellent.

Try X-Concealment if you don't like the Raven wait time.  I prefer Comp-Tac for IWB and X-Concealment C series for OWB.

Vanguard II here.  It's basically all I use.  Most comfortable IWB for me is like carrying with no holster at all.  Never met the guys, (I am chained to the booth at SHOT and other shows) but there are lots of Raven Concealment fans here at Fort Knox.
