Who here rides sand?  and what do you ride it with?

I started back in the day with a Honda 400ex then moved up to a Suzuki LTR450 Untill I decided I needed more of a challenge and went over to the dark side and bought a 06 honda crf450r. Other than the fact that the

bike tries to kill me all the time one of the best decisions I have made.

Anyways, pics from this weekend

Bikes are awesome in the wet sand. They get a little less fun in the supersoft dry fluffy shit. Current ride is a 525ktm quad. Had a pretty sweet busa sandcar I built but I just felt too safe and I like riding rather than driving. Got to wait til october here to get back to glamis. Too freaking hot for a while.

Saint Anthony sand dunes, My friends and I always joke that little Sahara is for drinking, saint Anthony is for riding ( St A's is epic as compared to Sahara).

A sad fact however is that where the pic was taken (middle bowl) a lady died 2 months prior with a broken neck while her  9yr son watched .  I have had to give first aid to way to many people at the dunes, I really don't know what makes me keep on coming back.

Great hookup, but when you get in the high traffic areas is becomes like mashed potatoes, also the front tire tries to follow ever rut that is made so unless your pinned the bikes a handfull.
