So those were all the same guys? Looked like it. Yeah, I should have posted the story: http://dpdbeat.com/2015/05/08/serial-robbers-of-cell-phone-businesses/ |

that's the reality of almost any planned violent crime. They are always going to have the drop on you. I hear so many people think they are gonna go unlock their safe load a mag insert it charge the weapon and get in to position before a robber gets to the front door when in reality they will be woken up with a gun to their head and the criminals will have done what they want before the mark even knows what the fuck is going on.
suppose it is possible you could have drawn after you were on the ground but them working as a pair makes it tough although they were all sideways gangsta style wielding so hopefully they woulda just missed if i cared enough to intervene with an armed petty theft. |

Now you're comparing a home invasion to this and you're just not correct in doing so. You're also not correct in saying someone is going to break through a door or window and get to YOUR room with a gun to your head before you do anything. If that was the case I doubt we'd hear much about home owners surviving break ins because they used their gun that was in a safe. |

They must have these http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss229/zaostar2/sideways_gun_sight-1.jpg Looks like it but at that close of a distance. I think the odds of taking a bullet are high. They left a few open chances to take at least one of them out |

0:15
Draw, bang-bang-bang on dude to your right, bang-bang-bang on dude coming in the front. If you're finished, unload and show clear, and then go check your hits. Easy enough, right?
2:45, I'm probably drawing and shooting here. 3:10 is another option. Just depends on which person I am. That's all I watched for now. |

So maybe you don't don't arm your alarm system when you go to sleep but only when you leave the house. Burgler doesn't break your door but pops the latch with a butterknife or picks the lock draws a lot less attention anyway. They've already cased your home and know where you keep your valuables and guns.... anyway the point is to expect the unexpected. there are a lot of dumbshit criminals who will do the stupid thing but there are also a lot of cold calculating motherfuckers that know the element of surprise and the immediate violence of action are their best tools. |

In a home situation you described this could be easily be remedied by a dog, even a small barker. |
