I just saw one of the greatest technical boxers of all time show his craft to potentially the largest audience of all time...and make over 100 million doing it. Yep, dead as a door nail.
If you want knock-outs and wild haymakers watch some early UFCs or Prides, or even Toughman. There is a reason it's called the sweet science. Anyway, people always say boxing is dead after a big fight goes to a decision. The first recorded instance was 1892. |

Last King fight me and best bud split cost and fight went seconds. That done me. I called bud tonight and asked if he wanted to split and watch. He said he'll no and I understood why. I followed the updates here and glad I did't buy it. |

The days of Ali, Foreman and Frazier are long gone that's for sure. Mayweather is the greatest of his boxing generation which isn't saying a whole lot at all. He has fought a lot of has beens, and a lot of no-names and still even then had less then stellar victories.
Put Mayweather in with a fighter of Ali's caliber and he'd be picking up trash out of the arena within a year. He simply wouldn't last in that generation of fighter because running just met you were blood in the water to those guys. |

A boring fight just cost people 100 dollars, and that is a guarantee that most of those people will never shell out another dime for a pay per view event...so yes boxing is dying and bouts like that with that price tag attached are why it will die. |
