Well?
As for me, I thought it was okay but didn't break any new ground and was pretty predictable. |

I heard and read nothing but glowing reviews. No spoilers please!!!!! Snape kills Dumbledor! But he had to! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile No, he didn't. Snape did not kill Dumbledor. Dumbledor killed Dumbledor. He sacrificed his life to save the others. He knew he needed to die and it was either Snape's wand or a jump off the roof. |

Spoiler Alert!
There are only four characters of note in the movie. Nathan, the robotic genius, Eva his creation, a Japanese female robot, and the hero whose name I don't recall. Hero wins a contest to test the latest and best AI. Meets creator who is also his boss. First impressions: Hero is nice guy. Inventor is a complete ass who you keep thinking is going to rape the hero. Eva, the AI robot, who is sweet if not relatively see-through physically. Japanese robotochick who never says a word and comes across as a real person who suffers as house help and sex toy. Soon the story morphs into gamesmanship where everyone but the Japanese robot is competing. Near the end you realize that the hero is a fool and a bit of a lying schemer The inventor is still an ass and has been lying the whole time. Eva who is neither sweet or trustworthy....and turns out to be a complete liar. In the end it is a cat and mouse game to the death. Lots of female nudity but no sex. Except for the robotics, no CGI. No broken laws of physics. And fear. Rather interesting look at the dangers of AI. What if we had AI robots with note of the implanted moral constraints of the famous 3 Laws? What if we created a world full of sociopathic machines? 10/10 if you have an attention span of more that 1 minute. Great acting. Surprising end. Worth the trip. |
| Interesting description. Makes me think, maybe, Eva is kept naked of flesh, showing her mechanism, to remind her or convince her that she is only a machine. Otherwise, if she thought she was real, how terrifying would that be for her to be imprisoned? Although the inventor might have tried that just to see what would happen. Which further reminds me that God could conceivably be doing that precise thing to us. Creating us with memories, tossing us into different scenarios to see how we react, and then disposing of us. Maybe millions and billions of times. Whatever situations crossed his mind. |

Eva showed no particular dismay at the self-awareness that she was a machine; even if she did, one could argue that showing that emotion was only another tool in her repetoire to achieve her ultimate goal, a means to an end. As an aside, the the actress who played her was excellent, and stunningly beautiful to boot. |

That's a human point of view. There's more to this than I originally thought. |

Does anybody else think Caleb is android? Did you catch the scene where he look at his hand which flickered into an android arm? Caleb was 'selected' to perform the Turing Test on Ava but I think Caleb IS the perfect android as he thinks he is a human. Now, you're thinking beyond. Cool. |

However, I don't think that was the case. He questioned his own humanity (cut his arm) but ultimately he was human. I thought the movie was okay, nothing groundbreaking. |
