I have a friend who is a watchmaker with a shop near my house. So occasionally I take a gamble on non-working vintage watches to see if he can fix them up for a reasonable price.

Last year I paid $40 for a Lancet WWI trench soldier's watch based on how cool it looked. It turned out the thing was completely worn out. But it also turned out that it was the exact make and model of the watch from Pulp Fiction. So I spent months chasing down all the parts my friend needed to completely restore it. Was finally able to pick it up from him yesterday.

Didn't see the pre-edit version, but I assure that if I had thin skin I wouldn't be posting pics of my "ass watch" in GD.

It was called a lancet? That's amusing to know

But seriously that is a very nice looking vintage watch. I have a couple myself but they are pocket watches so they don't get used as often as I would like.
