| I know most of you won't care, but a friend of mine, Carl Flores, U.S. Naval Academy class of 1991 passed away yesterday. He was a veteran, a patriot, and a decent human being. Fair winds and following seas, bud. Catch you on the flip side. |

| One of those stupid things. Went into the hospital for a GI infection, was treated with IV antibiotics, was doing well. Released and went home. After a few days nobody could get ahold of him so San Diego PD did a health and welfare check and he was dead. That's all I know. |

Fair winds and following seas, bud. Catch you on the flip side. You may be surprised to know how many of us do. I think a thread in GD is a kind of cool way to do an obit too, it lets a lot of us know a good life was lost, and allows us to include a prayer for them for fair travels to the next life. Sorry for your loss Doc. |

It's really weird. You talk to a guy and he's doing good, progressing. Then you get a call a few days later that he's dead. It's just odd how that can change overnight. We just had a friend and coworker die this past sunday. She was alive and well at the office Saturday around midnight and the next morning she was gone. She was a great flight nurse and friend. See you on the other side one of these days JP |
