Looking at buying the wave model. You guys have any thoughts on it or any other multitools out there?

Wave is a good one. I have the surge as EDC. Seems like arfcom hates because owner liberal donation.

Despite the stances on the company, Leatherman makes a damn fine multi-tool.
I've had a Surge for years (now my work multi-tool), but recently got a 'suped up' one from Texas Tool Crafters with a Damascus steel blade

The Wave is a bit smaller than the Surge but pretty much all the same tools, great multi-tool! The new model Surge is really nice because it has replaceable wire-cutter inserts. You can also get it in black or stainless.

I found a "Wingman" at Tractor Supply for $19.00

It does everything I need it to do.

I have two originals and the wave tool. Bought them before I found out the guy was an anti.

Carry one daily.

I know the owner's politics, I get it, but I just haven't found a decent replacement.

I have a:

Wave
300 EOD (gift)
Supertool
Mini

Wave is probably the best for EDC. My super tool is about over kill for most things. The EOD editions, unless you're EOD, is... kind of useless.

I have one of the old Wave models (like ten years old) from before the replaceable screwdriver attachement was standard.  It's a great tool.

I carried the original SuperTool v.1 for over a decade and put it through hard use at work as the GM of a 16 screen movie theatre and it paid for itself in spades.  Crap was always breaking and the toolbox was a long way aways, most often.

Right now I'm sportin' the SAK SwissChamp with Zermatt holster and sharpening steel.  Does more and a bit more elegant, but not nearly as robust as the ST v.1.

I've had a supertool 200 for years. If I was going to buy another multi tool, it'd probably be the supertool 300. I'm local to Leatherman. The ceo is a lib? Yeah, well, everyone in Portland is a lib. Still good tools.

Tim Leatherman is a liberal tool, but nobody makes a better multitool.  I have the Wave and the Wingman.  I use/carry the Wingman most of the time, and the Wave lives in car's "GoBag."

Most of these threads Victorinox gets mentioned as an unlikely but best choice.

SOG used to make a pretty reliable tool, probably still does.

Been looking at them pretty hard since losing my Clutch Mini (2nd one in ten years).

Got the Wave when it first came out, good tool.

Another vote for the Wave.

Used the regular Leatherman for a couple of decades, and the Wave successfully addressed my only two complaints.

Swisstool imo is a much better tool and the owners definitely are not obamasucking libtards like Tim is.

Only leatherman I still use is the Micra ( which I got from Tim in person at the Shotshow back in 1998 )
