I'm jealous.  That's the bike I want.  The wife is rather adamant that I will NOT be getting any motorcycle though.  *Sigh*

WWoodworth,
You might be surprised what a wife will tolerate.  My wife was very negative about it, but I told her that she had her "woman" things that she did for fun.  I HAVE DECIDED to do this, I am 36 years old and if I don't do it now while I am young enough to enjoy it, I never will.  After I got my first Sporty last summer, she began to think it was cool.

She worries about me getting killed on it, but I had a talk to her that when God wants to take me, He will do it with or without the motorcycle.  Have fun on the insurance :)

If you can afford it, Go for it.  I have this theory about women.  They really inside want their men to be independent but can't help but try to make them dependent.  Part of their depravity.  (Biblical Term)

I've scraped too many people off of roads and other object, and was dumb enought to tell my wife some of the stories.  She doesn't want me to get one.

Sweet looking bike.

voice of [shock] been there and done that.

Watch out for the following while riding.

1. Old men with hats

2. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction making a left hand turn in front of YOU. This is the most deadly thing you have NO control of. Always have a out.

Have fuhn

On a motorcycle, that last statement is worth repeating.
ALWAYS HAVE AN OUT

And remember, when you lose respect for your ride, it will bite you.

There's two kinds of riders. Those that have crashed & those that are gonna. Hope you already had your crash so you dont have to do it again! Nice Sporty.

I appreciate the warnings about driving defensively.

My philosophy has been when in traffic to try to figure out how everyone within sight is going to try to kill you.

I have come upon some bad motorcycle wrecks also and one of them I had to help hold the guy to the ground before the ambulance got there.  He was like a broken mannequin.  No helmit either.  Lady in other lane coming toward him turned left right in front of him.  He peeled off her roof with his legs.

That experienced kept me from riding for 13 years.  Somehow I got over it.

I did survive a bad car wreck when I was 17.  Got broadsided by a semi.

My dirt bike put me in the hospital when I was a teenager but that was my own fault.
