Went to the gun show this morning. It was a nice day so the crowd was sparse, not much of a turnout. I had a Ruger New Model single six .22 to trade and was looking for a lever action carbine in 357/38. I figured to add cash to even it up if I could find one.
I bought 100 rds of 55 grain soft point .223, some .38, 3006, & 9mm & some small AR parts for some builds I'm currently working on.
There wasn't much money changing hands, and with the small turnout, people were dropping prices left & right.
I saw a fairly nice Winchester 94 lying on a table with a tag on it that $400 OBO. I offered to trade him the pistol for it & we settled on the pistol & $50. He threw in around 50 rds of 150 gr soft point.
The gun is a 1970's vintage model 94 in 3030. It don't look to have been fired much. There is light "freckle"ing tiny rust spots on the receiver & the tang but nothing bad. Action is tight & works smooth. Blueing is good & the walnut stock is unblemished. I've never owned a 3030 & I'm looking forward to shooting it.

Well you failed on the 38/357 part but I like the old 30-30's so I'll let it slide

took it out today after church and put a few rounds through it. It's a keeper. I bounced an empty water bottle around at 50 yards offhand. I'm going to load up some 110 gr plinking rounds. A friend has a metric shit ton of carbine pulled bullets. He says they make awesome plinking rounds in his 3030.
sorry about no pics I'm without a camera at the moment
