Here's the OFFICIAL THREAD http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1714617_Daredevil__Marvel_on_Neflix__OFFICIAL_THREAD____All_Episodes_Out_NOW___.html Incredible show! Can't wait to see the others for the run up to The Defenders. And I'm praying they develop a Punisher series with similar sensibilities. |
| I'm really psyched for the next series now. BTW, can I just say that Marvel has totally nailed it in all their movie and TV production wrt casting? Vincent Denofrio is perfect as the Kingpin and Charlie Cox really stepped into the Matt Murdock role and made it his own. Even Foggy was perfect. |
| I watched the first 1.5 episodes and it's really good so far. Like, Nolan Batman levels of potential. The fight scenes are really close in, brutal, and fast. Kinda like the Bourne trilogy fight scenes only significantly better imo. The assassin he fights in the first episode is using a nice Benchmade. I didn't identify which model, but it looks to have theie modified reverse tanto blade. Possibly a contego? |

I've heard much hype and decided to turn it on last night after my wife and child were in bed.
My only complaint is that I don't like the casting of the vampire girl for Paige. The rest of it feels right. I watched the first episode and I think I may actually be able to get my wife into this series. As long as I can trick her into getting drinks or popcorn while the Marvel title flip is running. She sees the Marvel intro and goes running for her iPad. |

The hallway fight scene at the end of episode 2 - one continuous shot - was fucking amazing. He looked exhausted. True and that's good, it's something that they never really show how fucking exhausting it is to get the crap beat out of you and give some back in return. |

My friend I was watching it with is big into martial arts. He didn't really like the Daredevil character going in, but he was really impressed with the fight choreography and some of the realism, especially with that scene. You can see his limbs weigh 100lbs. I only took a some karate for PE credits in college, but we did do drills where you just punch pads for 30 seconds. Sounds simple until you try it. |

I'll bet there's a couple edits in there, but it is a very well done scene. Quoted:

Oh for sure there is trickery involved. But it APPEARS to be one long cut - and about half way through it my friend and I were like, "Dude, this is one shot." We had to watch it again. The battle scene in Children of Men was similar in fashion. |

I like the fact that even though DD knocks the bad guys down, they get back up and get back into the fighter. And you can just feel how much DD is hurting and how exhausted he is. Damn fine job with that scene.
I think it's going to be on my favorite fight scene list. |

Quoted: For sure. Very Punisher-esque. Quoted: Quoted: Just finished watching the last episode and it kicked ass. Best superhero TV show ever. For sure. Very Punisher-esque. Daredevil was always a dark superhero. He's like a less gory Punisher or a blind Batman without all of the toys. I'm glad this TV series finally did him justice as a character. |
| I'm glad everybody is enjoying this as much as i did. I'm super pumped and cant wait for a second season. I'm also really happy they didn't put this on TV because there's a lot of elements to this show that would of been lost..... Like the car door scene........ Every time something wasn't looking good for one of Wilson's (kingpin) people i always made fun of him by saying "is their head going to be in a car door." |

Note it was one continuous cut with the camera moving around them. Amazing Cinematography. Should win an award for this scene. |

Just finished watching the last episode and it kicked ass. Best superhero TV show ever. For sure. Very Punisher-esque. It was OK, but still suffers from the Super Hero Low T syndrome. "I have to save my city....buuutt IIIII cannn't kill......wahhh whatever shall I do..." I would have like it better if he dropped the Russian on the pavement...and went, "oppps, miscalculated." |

They are both in NYC. I'd get Tom Jane to do it again, personally. |

Another thing is you'll notice each episode is at least 52min long, most of them more. As contrast an episode of ABC's Agents of SHIELD runs around 43min. Add up that extra time over the 13eps and you have over 2hrs more time over the same amount of AoS episodes. That's a lot more story getting told. |

Is Luke Cage or any of the other Hero's for Hire in it? Not yet. Luke Cage is rumored to appear in the Jessica Jones series later this year but will get his own series next year and then Iron Fist after that. Really... Thats lame. I wish they'd come out with a H4H mini series. |
