WTF? Is this true, "Facebook thugging" ? GTFO "Some Facebook users reported her to nearby Henrico police for her ‘Facebook thugging’. She was immediately taken into custody by the Chesterfield police and charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor for he Facebook thugging. If provide guilty of the charge, Kristin could have to spend as much as 1 year in prison and pay $2,600 as fine." http://www.techworm.net/2015/04/woman-arrested-for-facebook-thugging.html |

She was arguing with someone and posted that pic with the message about "so you know what to look for when you come find me". I can see that being considered a threat. Should it be ignored because it was on facebook? I'm sure "Facebook thugging" isn't the actual charge. |

It is a conditional statement designed to advise someone that she will be armed if they come to look for her. It implies a reaction to another's action. And not guilty. |

This is absolutely retarded. How do you construe this as a threat? If anything, the other person should have been arrested for "Facebook Thugging" given that there was obviously a threat made to visit this woman since her written response included "when you "come find me"". The author of the article noticeably left out the quotations around "come find me" that show this is an obvious quoting of whomever she was arguing with. Why don't we get to see what the other person was saying?
And this picture is not of her pointing the gun at the camera, it's angled way to far up to make that analogy (in my opinion, anyway). She was posing with her XD and letting the person know she was a gun owner, so making a threat of coming and finding her to do her bodily harm may not be in that person's best interest. Should she have thought it through first and not done it? Yes. But i fail to see how this deserves a misdemeanor charge on her record. If she gets one, the other person should get one too for threatening to come find her. I foresee her spending stupid amounts of money to get the charges completely dismissed. Bleh, Chesterfield. If this happened in Petersburg, no one would care

Also they didn't charge her with making a threat, it amounts to harassment charge. Not indictable either. |

"He told NBC 12 On Your Side that the state code says its illegal to use a computer to threaten anybody, or use vulgar language or commit immoral behavior."
Hmm so it's illegal to swear on a computer in Virginia? Curious what constitutes "vulgar" too, and who's responsible for deciding such... Fuck that!
