I'm not aware of a single outlet that actually provides unbiased news. We're on our own to wade through the right and left bias to find what might actually be the truth. Sadly, sometimes the best way is to note what one side isn't covering in order to find out what might be important. |

There is a difference between perspective and propaganda. I report things as seen through my lens of perspective is one thing. I report things to advance the agenda regardless of truth or lies, because it is for the greater good, is something else. Most of our news these days falls into the "something else" category. Push back in recognition of this does not make the sources equal, or engaged in the "same thing" from the "other side". Those who work to dispel lies are not the same as those who spread lies. Ask Sharyl Attkisson. |

They will still praise harry reid or east anglia for "furthering the agenda" while screaming "Bush lied, people died!". |

Ask Sharyl Attkisson. Point taken, but I don't see much evidence of it in common practice. I've taken to reading HuffPo and Drudge back to back and what I pay attention to is omission, meaning who's avoiding an issue, or failing to report the inconvenient details. Now I grant that I'm seeing it on the left much more often than on the right, but to be sure it's neither side's exclusive territory. Fox is generally more balanced in their reporting than CNN, but when they offer the opposing view of an issue they tend spin it to make it seem a little less legitimate. I don't see any news organization taking a truly balanced approach to any issue, there's always a measure of spin to play to their target market. It would be very nice if there was a news outlet that reported all views of a story without bias toward a desired conclusion. If you want to know what someone really believes, or stands for, don't ask their enemy. |

In other words, NEWS FOR DUMB PEOPLE |

Quoted:
that story is like a decade old in arfcom years The fake rapoe story or the new story about how Rolling Stone and the author got their ass handed to them by Columbia School of Journalism........but hey, it made people think and feeling and what not so no one got fired. |

Quoted:
So the Columbia journalism school released its report on the fabricated Rolling story about the U.Va rape that never happened. CNN is running a de-contextualized interview with the RS author that makes it look like the story is about a rape that was covered up, not a rape that never happened. Second hit on google news. Misleading decontextualized fake news Without even watching, I bet they are portraying the authoress, somehow, as a victim. |

Yes, I know. And they just reposted it as-is in a manner to make it look current and topical, hence "decontextualized" Quoted:

OP this interview was from November 2014. ![]() Yes, I know. And they just reposted it as-is in a manner to make it look current and topical, hence "decontextualized" LOL. So, their defense against libel is that "the story we [re]published was so widely known to be false that the plaintiff wasn't meaningfully harmed by the action" ? |

Did you guys read the "apology" from the so called reporterette from that lying rag Rolling Stone. It's a huge joke.
The frat was vandalized, the members were harassed, the house was closed down...........they were the VICTIMS........and that piece of trash did not apologize to them. |

Neither did the President of UVA. |

NPR's coverage included several guests who thought that at least three people should have been fired from Rolling Stone. Quoted:

Most amazing aspect of this story: People are actually shocked to discover that Rolling Stone isn't a credible news source. No way!! I mean I go to Rolling Stone for my hard news. That sucks. ![]()
