Came across this photo of senior dog that looks quite happy...I know arfcom likes its dogs, so figured I'd share..(caption for the photo is below also).

FREEDOM DAY!

Nobody is happier about today's events than Daisy, a special-needs senior from California. On what was to be her last day on earth, she is instead on her way to her forever home in another state. Whew!

Every roadblock imaginable was in the way of saving her, but thanks to our great network of supporters we were able to help spring her from the shelter just in the nick of time. It's been a nail-biter of a week around here, but nobody lost the faith.

We are grateful for so much tonight, not the least of all our senior-loving followers who pull out all of the stops to make miracles like this happen. Daisy will soon be settled into the home environment that she needs to thrive. We are so thrilled for her and her new owner who knows her issues and loves her already anyway!

Special thanks to CalWEAR (California Weimaraner Education And Rescue) for their local support. We needed "boots on the ground" in California to handle transportation and other logistics and their volunteers came through big-time.

We're pretty sure it's 5 o'clock somewhere, so cheers everyone!

Dogs have lots of love to give, right to their last seconds. :)

My girl was on the chopping block as well.
Now she leads a very happy, if not boring life.

What's a "senior dog?"

Marketing by the pet food industry.

I knew a diabetic 14 year old Samoyed that would run circles around the average dog. Ran 5 miles a day with his owner, and ran with his owner when his owner ran marathons. RIP Kody.

Not the best picture, but still a good one of my happy dog laying on my chest waiting for me to throw his ball. Was taken a few years back, I need to get some updated ones.

When she is in happy mode I can't really take any pictures because she is jumping around and freaking out lol. Here are some of her being still for a few moments.

Most of my pics are funny sleeping positions. I'll have to try and get some pics when I throw the ball for them later this morning.

So happy that old Cooper has picked up the game. Still having to work on Daphne. She still suffers from the trauma of being a puppy mill bitch.
