As to OP's original point-
IMO this doc was dead and buried a long long long time ago. It was a good idea once upon a time but power corrupts-always- and the founders never invisioned a group of spineless, ball less, metrosexuals as deserving the title of citizen who would roll over and give up what was so dearly fought for. |

Ted Cruise is an idiot for saying that rights come from God rather than government. Well the founding fathers must be morons as well. Government is made up of man, they said rights are derived from a higher power not government. I am not a bible thumper and do not consider myself overly religious. |

If a man has a burning desire to be an athiest, he can assume that his Creator is nature acting randomly. Either way, it maintains the concept. Rights are not granted by men. BTW, I believe in God and inalienable rights, just pointing out there is a flip side to every story. But lets face reality here, the bulk of potential Ted Cruz voters probably do believe in a God, so it's not like him stating that our rights come from a creator (God) is going to alienate some sizable chunk of potential supporters/voters. And if it is what Cruz believes in and he is sticking to his values and beliefs, more power to him. Quoted:

Before you start trolling son, get your shit together. BTW...if anybody hasn't read 1776 by David McCullough, it's a fantastic read! Check it out from your local library. There is also an audiobook version, for those of us that prefer books to music while driving. |

Ted Cruise is an idiot for saying that rights come from God rather than government. Sorry, but rights do not come from the govt. Govt is there to protect rights, not dole them out. Sadly the govt is now in the business of suppressing rights than protecting them. |

Voided by the Patriot Act & NDAA '12. Sadly, it's as applicable today as when it was signed. No. I'm pretty we're still not under the British Crown in any manner. You might be thinking of another document signed in the following decade, which those in power now use as toilet paper. |

The same bore and stroke as the "351" (all were pretty much 352 CID) and better flowing heads than any factory 351W. The one year they put a decent cam in they were rated at 360HP. |

I realize that he's competing with half a dozen other conservatives for the religious right/moral majority/whatever you want to call it, but I think running on being a Constitutional Literalist would have played lot better outside the bible belt and in the general, if he had gotten that far. Which he won't, because candidates who come across as bible-thumping nutjobs don't make it to the general. It's too bad...I think a true scholar of the Constitution would make an excellent President. |
