I'm trying to find a device that will permit me to connect my computer monitor and my TV to the single HDMI output on my Mac Mini. I would use the monitor for normal internet browsing and the TV when streaming movies via the internet. Most devices I see on Amazon have mixed reviews.
Have any of you used anything that would work for what I'm trying to do? Thanks for any input. |

Glad to know someone has working HDMI port on their Mac Mini. Mine doesn't work. Means I can't natively run dual screens. OMG! Reading your comment made me think of an alternative way to solve my problem!
I was thinking you could fix your problem by using your Thunderbolt port and try to find a cable with HDMI on the opposite end. http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Mini-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Adapter/dp/B00NH13K8S/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1425866363&sr=1-10&keywords=thunderbolt+cable $10 bucks from Amazon. My brain was stuck on "HDMI splitter" and you smacked some sense into me!

Then you're probably going to need an HDMI splitter.
