Just watched a video of Hickok45 testing this conversion assembly for a Glock pistol. Has anyone had any experience with these? It looks like a well made piece.
$399.00 for the upper, add an M4 stock that you might have laying around, and a micro red dot. Then you'd have a neat little carbine.

I would agree, but for the price could be a functional addition to your carry piece?

Does this turn your pistol into an NFA item by adding a buttstock?

4 bills gets you fairly close to just building an AR in 9mm... even one that takes Glock mags....

I'm also thinking a Nano carbide also.  And given the finicky nature of 9mm ars I'm tempted to try one.

I have a Mechtech in 40. I looked at the JRC, Sub2000 and the Mechtech and with all the prices/reviews/information I could find, I decided the Mechtech was right for me.

The buttstock adapter is just like the back of an AR lower, so you can add any buttstock you like.
Takes a Glock frame for the fire controls you can swap almost any Glock upper for this upper.
Takes Glock mags that are plentiful (right now).
Has a top rail to mount optics. I have a Primary Arms red dot on mine right now.
Can/Has to use pretty stout loads. I ran 180gr bullets at 1100FPS and only had 1 hiccup in 200 rds last time out. I think it was an issue with the ammo, not the upper.
It is a little weird to get used to the ergonomics, but they are easy to get use to.

I like the set-up, especially with the Glock 22rd factory mags.

Looks like a fun range toy.

Are they pretty reliable? I'd love one in 10mm for camping or to keep in the truck.

I've fired a bunch of them over the years and they are well made units --  both reliable and accurate.

That said, I've never held onto one for long myself because they are heavy for what they are IMO (and front-heavy in particular), which just doesn't work for me.  If that doesn't bother you, they are a very good option.

I have a Glock CCU on a dedicated G17 frame.

It's a fun toy and I enjoy shooting it.  It's been reliable with everything I put through it so far.

Accuracy is adequate for a 9mm carbine and damn good with some handloads.

It's a heavy bitch out of the box so I  kept mine simple with a MOE butt stock and  Sampson fixed AR sights.

An adjustable stock is useless unless you have gorilla arms because in the full forward position the LOP will be close to 15".

I went with the fixed stock adapter for this reason, keeping LOP to about 14 1/4" which is still pretty long.

The working parts of this thing are stainless-steel, very nicely built and appear to be indestructible.

Weak points [in my opinion]  are the top rail mount studs and butt stock attachment point which just look flimsy to me, though I've had no problems with either.

I'm happy with my Glock/MechTech but consider it an unusual toy more than a serious weapon.

Mine excels at dispatching rocks and horseturds in the desert, which is what I had in mind for it from the start.

Factory - complete rifle?  Olympic.

(Not kidding in the least, I have two and they have been completely reliable both stock out of the box and since I SBR'd them both.)

There are also other "AR-ish" rifles out there that use unmodified Glock mags (JRC, TNW, ATI) but my only first-hand experience with any of those is in .45 (not 9mm) and has been less than stellar so far.

Then there are dedicated lowers for DIY builds, but I haven't tried any of those.
