I don't think anyone disagrees that it's a beautiful state. But honestly, it's a nanny state of the highest order.
I loved these signs when I was there last week: "Disneyland contains chemicals known to the state of California to be carcinogenic and hazardous to your health." Prop 65 signs posted outside fucking Disneyland. Kee-rist! Oh, and Los Angeles is too fucking big, and has too many damn people. Their freeways are a goddamn nightmare! |

California has 4-5 National Parks, including the first national park. I'd take Yosemite and Sequoia over any of those other states. Wyoming has one small area that's nice, the rest of the state is a barren wasteland. And I have been all over those states except KY and NC. |
