They were the loudest band to ever play the MN state fair.  They could be heard south of the river.

It's a wonder that each of them aren't stone-cold-deaf by now.  Even back in the bleacher seats it was loud enough to move your guts around.

I saw them in concert 3 times from 1979-1986.

The little ol' band from Texas.

You were there?  I could here them in Apple Valley.

ZZ is the definition of bad ass American soul driven rock and roll.  They have so many masterpieces, it's overwhelming - where do you begin?  And they are still at it.

I hear Billy has one of the best guitar collections in all the world, and honestly, who more fitting?

God bless ZZ Top and Texas.

Not at that particular show but have seen them twice.  Both times had me numb, shaking and shell-shocked on the ride home.

Dupe-ish.

I've posted several times that the live side of Fandango is the greatest live gig ever recorded.

I remember Billy Gibbons when he was with The Moving Sidewalks. My sister went to high school with one or two of them in the early '70's in Sharpstown. I don't remember which one. Frank Beard the drummer at one time had a house around my neck of the woods in Richmond. I'm not down there anymore. Not sure if he's still there or not. ZZ Top has been a part of me since I was 10 years old. And they're still going!

Many years ago, there was a hole in the wall restaurant in Irving Tx. called Estella's. It was off of Story road and 183 if I remember correctly. I ate there so many times that they didn't bother bringing me a menu.

The old ladies that ran the place had several ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughn album covers hanging on the wall. Most were autographed. I asked the ladies about the album covers. They told me that Billy, Dusty and Frank always ate there when they came to town. She said the same was true for Stevie before his death.

The place has been closed for probably 15 years now.

Anybody else remember it?

I know, CSB.

Nothing past the first six LP's is really Z Z Top. That crap that came out in the 80's.................just never mind.

Also, if you are going to pick up the first six, don't buy the Six Pack CD set.  They went back and remastered the old LP's and added drum tracks and redid some of the guitar parts. Ruined the sound IMHO.
