3 day shipping my ass

I made 2 orders with one of the site vendors. One has been stuck in Missouri, the other hasnt left Texas and It shipped Tuesday UPS for me from now on. Anyone else waiting on parts right now?

One day its USPS, the next is UPS, the next it's FedEx.  No good options, only crapitude.  Cross your fingers and press "ship", hope it shows up without going on a grand tour of the lower 48.

Yeap. Supposed to have been here Friday. Shipped UPS.

I guess snow stops them too.

Weather, probably.  I have a Fed Ex coming that was delayed in Colorado due to inclement weather according to the tracker.

I've sent many thousands of packages with all 3, they're all the same. I've been happy enough with all of them, but FedEx and USPS have been cheapest for me lately, so I'm using them. Handful of issues with each, same %, same difference.

Fair enough. It would be nice if they could update the fucking tracking sometime.

Tracking only updates when it moves and is scanned, if it's stuck because of weather it's not going to update.

Its not really tracking.  Folks need to stop looking at it like that.  And they could re-name it - because it isn't that.

Too many people obsessing with where there package is....trying to watch it like NORAD radar.  It will get there when it gets there.

If the delivery company misses guaranteed arrival date - file for a refund.

The one that hasn't left was probably only printed by the shipper and is sitting on a pallet. I have an SLR rail that was "shipped" on the 18th, it hasn't moved

I cringe everytime I see a package shipped usps. They have lost a few of my packages. Sped ex is slow as shit. For me ups is the best. They always deliver on time, their shipping info is updated properly.

Why, so it can take even longer for it to get there and then have your driver claim "attempted delivery noone home" when its getting too late?

Lol. I paid for a trace on a money order, only to hear that it arrived the day after I did so. They should make traces free IMO, or better yet allow money orders to be transmitted over the internet just like mailing labels.

They suck plain an simple, don't gaurantee anything even though it says three days and frequently send stuff the opposite direction it needs to go in the country. They have become utterly terrible and now their service reflects their poor attitude in the post offices.

Could mean that the sender simply created a shipping label, not necessarily that is been dropped off or picked up. At least that's what I have seen a few times.

It arrived at the USPS location in Houston on Wednesday. No update since then

I guess the experience varies by area.
For me USPS is the worst. Tracking not updated very often. I have had deliveries get tossed behind the fence (with a beware of dog sign), and the dog chewed op the product. Also rarely delivered on time.
UPS updates the tracking info fast, I have not had an issue with them. Though in the last 15 years I have stuff shipped to my work instead of home. UPS regularly gets to me a day before expected arrival.

But that has been my experience, YMMV!

I ordered from two places on the 18th.

One from Seattle WA, the other from Alvin TX

Both used USPS

The WA packaged showed up Friday the 20th as scheduled and tracking updated very well.

The TX package was supposed to be here Saturday the 21st

USPS tracking for the TX package shows label created, package picked up and departed Alvin TX on the 18th.

There were no other updates until today. The update says the package arrived in Houston TX today the 22nd

Conclusion... TX USPS employees are incompetent.

I recently had a FedEx package never leave the original facility (according to the scanner), but still showed up the day it was supposed too.

Out of the 3, I've had the worst luck with UPS, a stolen package from FedEx, and perfect results from the USPS.

I have a personal check that was sent to me, that I had to have cancelled because it has been MIA for 2 weeks now.  USPS has already stolen 2 different birthday cards in 2 different states over the last 4 years.  The check is for something different, and not in an obvious hallmark envelope, but it's gone.

What I've learned is, if it doesn't have any type of insurance or delivery confirmation, it has a high chance of not arriving.

Having said that, I'm not a huge UPS fan, and hate FedEx.  There really are no options for superior service, and there's a new thread in GD everyday bashing a different carrier.  With USPS, if you ship it right, it's likely going to show.

My Sister sent me a Birthday gift years ago via FedEx, along with my travel bag I had left when my family went to visit her for her college graduation.  That travel bag, among various smaller things, had my $150 Sonicare toothbrush in it.  I was home all day and refreshed the tracking one hour, said it was out for delivery, then maybe 50 minutes later refreshed again to see it say "delivered."  Thought it was weird I didn't get a knock, or at the very least hear them set it by the door (since I always do when I'm home).  Opened the front door to see nothing there.

FedEx was worthless.  The claims process was a PITA and my sister got her $50 back for the gift after jumping through hoops, but I was SOL on the more important and expensive things.

USPS    I see my packages   09:00......    UPS   18:30-19:00     so I lose a day with UPS anyways  and no Saturday..

I used to work for UPS at the main hub in Louisville, loading cargo on the aircraft. Because of that, I prefer the USPS.

UPS also leaves stuff on my doorstep for someone to steal when it's supposed to be signed for, or doesn't show up when I wait all day and then says I wasn't home and they left a note on my door (which they didn't).

That's just the luck of the draw.  My last house I saw USPS at 12pm and UPS at 6pm.  This house I see UPS at 2pm and USPS at 6-7pm.  It pisses me off how late I get my shit.  Mostly because when I've had USPS stuff come in that had tracking, it'll say "out for delivery" at 10:30am, whereas I've always seen things update for delivery from all 3 major carriers at 8am in 3 different states.  Clearly my driver takes her fatass time getting in and heading out for delivery everyday.

I'm waiting on 9mm brass right now...had nothing but good experiences with USPS.

They got me my shoes in time for an interview, and move my brass from NC quick enough.

Alright I am eating my words right now...I ordered the brass from this place in Greensboro NC, and apparently the USPS took their sweet old time getting it processed and out of their dropoff/sorting facility.

I've received things that way-mostly out of print older horror movies. Slow as fuck. Never complained, considering the last time was a movie I had the winning bid for on ebay-25 cents. Shipping was something like $2.45 though.

ETA-at least, I think it said Canada Post on the label. Send me one of your Beretta Garands and see what the label says.

For USPS use priority mail.....NEVER economy..... Priority Mail is their priority.....economy gets shoved to the bottom of the pile, and sometimes just seems to disappear.       Usually doesn't cost too much more.

I purchased a money order and mailed it out on February the 13th.  I sent it USPS Priority Mail to PA.  As of Today it's still only showing departing the post office in which I mailed it and no other movement.  The money order was for a gun from a individual.  The post office is saying there is nothing that can be done until 30 days have past.  W.T.F.!!!!

I ordered some ammo and it shipped FedEx, some reason it required a signature and I wasn't home to sign for it. It got to there warehouse and the manager refused to keep it there said ammo was a fire hazard. He sent it to a different FedEx I had to drive 40 miles to go get it instead of half a mile where it was originally.
