Quoted: It may have warmed up by too much then, but snorkeling with the manatees at Crystal River is a very cool experience. Of course you could always catch the mermaid show at Weeki Wachee. My boss is coming out and we're going to charter a boat to do some fishing ,also plan to go to Coral Castle while I'm there. |

Quoted: Cape Coral ![]() Across the bridge here in Ft. Myers we act like the place doesn't exist and only go there if absolutely need be. Traffic is crazy, cops are some of the worst in Florida, and paying tolls suck. Other than that SWFL is still a pretty great area |

Big Bend is really nice if you like National Parks but a long way out of the way. I would highly recommend San Antonio's Riverwalk excellent chance to get out of the car and stretch your legs.
Sanibel and Captiva are really nice and nearby Cabbage Key Inn, accessible by private boat or ferry, makes for a nice day and even better overnight trip. If you have never driven to Key West that is a must for a long weekend... |
