Pretty neat..... no idea what it does though.  Feel the strong urge to play HALO now.

This kind of tech is still, IMHO, a long way from the battlefield.

It could make a huge difference pretty damn soon on the loading dock, warehouse, tarmac, etc.  And how much of a military "effort" consists largely of moving heavy shit from place to place?  Every bomb, missile, or bullet sent downrange gets thrown onto a truck or some such at least a few times.

It'll never be seriously fielded. The biological core is already obsolete; these "exoskeletons" will be superseded by semi- or fully-automated 'bots.

You'll just be given more shit to carry, and when you blow a seal or the batteries run out you'll have to hump out every bit of the extra shit and the dead exoskeleton.

Funny how one whipped up quickly for a prototype works and one that billions was spent on is a turd.

So, put the battery on a wheeled cart, and use the exoskel for prisoner extractions. Prison guards will love them!

Advances in battery technology will make some of this happen to some extent - sooner than later I hope

Fuel cells are making great strides, as well, as long as you have a source of liquid hydrogen.  And keep it from hitting atmosphere and an ignition source.

I can see someday having hydrogen tankers like we have JP8 tankers, but that's a way off, yet.

Uh oh...Noticed the Sig Brace.

ETA: And was the suit made to regulate body temp? If so, I liked it (if actually functional).

Problem is power source. The batteries only run for like 15-30 minutes. It's almost as unpractical as when they wanted to do Jetpack Infantry.
