My aunt has been in the hospital for a few days, turns out it's Multiple Myeloma.
Average life expectancy with the aggressive chemo treatment she is set to begin tomorrow is 4.5 years. Fuck cancer. If anyone's the praying type, please add her to your prayer lists. |

Had a friend diagnosed with luekemia. Doctors convinced him he would live longer with chemotherapy... Died 3 days later from the CHEMO treatment. that shit can sometimes be worse than the cancer itself. Sorry to hear the bad news man Sorry for the loss of your friend. when I was under going my chemo this past june-sept that shit left me feeling all fucked up ( couldnt sleep, stomach upset, neuropathy, limbs trembling lightly for weeks ) . Thank god Im in remission but I wish they would find a cure for cancer now! |

Last week I found out that I have a very rare case (im 33 year old guy) of breast cancer. I cant say for certain, but the fact that i have no cancer history in my family and the rarity of this, id say that the shit i was exposed to various times in the sandbox might play a part. So like you said. F@&$ cancer...all up its a@&.... And BHO... F@&$ him too. Meanwhile, I will be sure to say that prayer for you. I wouldnt wish this crap on anyone. |

My wife died last September 17th from Multiple myeloma...prayers inbound Very sorry to hear about your wife. If you don't mind sharing more of what you know about multiple myeloma, please IM me. I can tell you that it is a cancer of the bone marrow, but it can show up in many different ways, thus the name ":multiple" My wife first had a spontaneous spine fracture in the L4-L5. Had the spine surgery last Memorial Day weekend. As it turned out the cancer had been working on her bones for a long time ( called smoldering myeloma ) She never did recover enough from the spine surgery to finish chemo and the radiation did not help much. The pain was so bad that she was on Methadone and she hung on for 4 months before it overcame her desire to live. All I can say is I am hoping for a better outcome in your aunt's case. I know my wife is in a better place now and no more pain for her. |

Apparently 12 is the lowest level they consider safe. By end of day Monday, she was only up to a 5. Today, I found out about the cancer. Life is not fucking fair, but I know God has a reason. I wish it was more obvious. |

My late wife had a friend that was diagnosed in her 40s with Multiple Myelosis, and she's still around - going on 7 years now. Apparently it's usually diagnosed in much older people (70-80), and the advanced age has some bearing on life expectancy. The chemo (all pills, no infusions) was very pricey, but it worked. |
