Our washer died last night. Looking at new ones the LG and the Samsung

machines seem to get pretty good overall reviews. Anyone know anything

about them good or bad?

Just buy a plain jane Maytag. Our washer and dryer are 35 years old and have never missed a beat or needed any repair.

DO NOT GET A FRONT LOADER.

With that out of the way, our latest is a Samsung HE top loader, and so far we're happy with it.

The dead one is a front loader, I will never own another one. Looking at the top load

versions. Thanks
