I was told that the price of REGULAR Gas is going to go to $2.00/Gal. Thats from someone I know that owns a Sunoco Station.

BULL S*&T...When it goes that high I start Hijacking Gas trucks from the Road. Find me a place to store them and I will only charge $1.00/Gal. To AR15.com Members with a Bronze or Gold Membership. If you have a Platinum Membership it will only be 50 cents/gal

The liberal view of this would be that you should give the gas to bronze members, $1.00 for gold members, and $5.00 or platnum members because they can afford more than the downtrodden bronze class. For the children, you know..[:)] fullclip

Yeah, you're right, it probably is BULLSHIT.  Gas costs that much in CA, not in NY.  I call BS on this one, it may just be wishful thinking by your friend.

When Desert Storm started, the price went down. I look for the same here, from the OPEC countries want Iraqs share of the US market. For them, greed for the oil money is thicker than Arab or Muslim blood... fullclip

edp,

I hope you're not intending to bottle up that butt gas of yours. I don't think our vehicles can run on that stuff, maybe a rocket to the moon but, surely not our vehicles..

After it has been going up about 5-10 cents/gal each week for months, gas in Rhode Island actually fell back about a dime this past week.  I nearly died!

Week before average was $1.759.  This week it is $1.679

Seems now that the FTC will be starting an investigation to see if the price increase is justified.

people down here don't sweat the gas prices.

The new local hobby is the drive off. Some gas stations actually have hired security guards to pump gas at self serve stations.

Nw Indiana residents are the next to take it in the ass for gas prices. The BP Amoco refinery in Whiting had a fire the other day and today the paper has reported a price increase is coming due to the shortage the fire has created.Fu#kers!Greed is going to be the downfall of our country. Why is it that when gas prices started to rise, the manufacturers said it was because the price/barrell increased but at the same time also reported record profits? Can someone explain why when your cost of doing business rises and you pass that EXACT cost on to your customers that your profit margin would increase?Shouldn't your profit margin remain the same? Unless you are shafting those that HAVE TO buy your product.HMMMMMMMMMMMM?!

If being a gas station owner is so profitable, why aren't more people doing it?  If being an oil company is so profitable, why aren't more companies doing it?  Haven't you all ever heard of supply and demand?  When supply goes down and demand goes up, the price goes up.  It's that simple.  Bunch of friggin' communists around here.

There is no supply problem, that gas we are buying today is from oil bought 6 months ago. All  that is needed to get back to normal is kicking the oil company presidents ass's.This is major stick it to the consumer bullshit I don't care what you say. And I aint' a damn commie.

yes It may end up being 250 a gallon its around 1.70 to 1.80
but hey I dont bitch about it because In reality there isnt much to do about it. If you really dont like it that much its simple dont buy thier product. And when gas rises like this it always puts more pressure on going to alternate fuels because they look more attractive then price goes down and no one cares about other fuels anymore
and adjusted for inflation its still cheaper than the 70s and today your going farther on a gallon of gas than ever so its probably much cheaper

I picked the wrong time to purchase a 13-14MPG 4x4 V8 truck.
I just paid $33 to fill the ~20gal tank. ($1.57). If I get good indication gas prices are gonna be near $2 for several months, I'm selling it. It'll cost $50/week just for commuting.

To bad my 86 accord with a quarter-million miles will only grab 22MPG in it's old age......still better than 14 though!

Who wants a good deal on a truck?
