Upgrading the laundry room and laundry room closet.

Removed bi-fold door for regular door.

Idiot who installed tile cut the original piece of tile around a wooden floor pivot point for bi-fold.

I have spare tile, just need one cut to fit. Who can I take it to to cut just one piece?

UPDATE-

Went to a small tile store near my house, said as of the first of the year, we don't cut tile anymore.

Went to home depot, girl said we don't have that service here.

Lowe's had someone cut it for me.  Will adhere to floor and grout tomorrow, get the door hung.  Thanks ARFers

When I worked at home depot and lowes we would cut tile.

Get a good measurement, you don't want any part of the tile to be in contact with the wall or any part of the door jamb, it could crack the tile down the road from thermal expansion.

Local small tile store.  Or rent a Tile Saw from Home Depot.

A stone place may have a wet saw. Not sure if they would let you use it.

Why not drill a few holes with a drill, score it and snap it.

Anyone with a tile saw. Our local retail install tile shop will cut for you. Angle grinder or a skill saw and a diamond blade works too.

They won't let him use it, but they might cut it for him for a few bucks.

Drilling tile sucks and can break the tile of you're not good.

He probably does not have a lot of tiles left? They can break easy and it's two cuts in a perpendicular pattern, it could split the entire tile.

I rented a wet tile saw from Home Depot. Measure twice and cut once. Go slow and it should come out perfect.

For 1 cut I would try my circular saw with an abrasive masonry blade.
Masonry blade $3-4 at lowes or depot.

Chip out old tile then cut to fit for a cleaner look.

If you are a religious man ask around at your place of worship, or even among people at your place of work.  Odds are you can find a DIYer who will

have the tools and/or skill to do it or let you do it.

This should go in the man thread.

Wire wheels, mason stones, steel cutting, steel grinding and so many other blades for sooooo mush cuttting!!! Very few things can't be cut or trimmed with a grinder... With a grinder and a shovel, I'm pretty sure you could build a building.

I've had Lowe's make up to 20 cuts for me at once.  They've never turned me away.  Although I bought the tile there.  Worth a shot.

You can get a cheap tile cutter like this:

If you're really cheap use a straight edge and glass cutter and snap it over an edge.

I just had Lowes do it. I measured what I needed and had it taped to a piece of notebook paper for each one. It took the guy doing it like an hour and should've cost me, but the guy got annoyed at his manager so it was free. The manager told him the very sturdy looking safety glasses that fit him well that he was using weren't 'correct' for the job and instead to use some ill-fitting, dirty, flimsy goggles.

It was supposed to be like $0.25 per cut. Even with the 30-some tiles I had, it would've been worth it to not have to rent or buy a saw.

You the man!

That should be in the man requirements thread... Able to complete tile repairs.
