Got an Aeropress for Christmas. Don't think I'll ever look back. Howz about youz guyz? 1. Harvest the beans from the plants in the backyard. 2. Dry them in the sun. Had to put up a fence to keep the dogs out. 3. Sort and inspect the beans. 4. Roast the beans with heat/smoke from an applewood fire. Was using a whirly pop but the applewood smoke gives such a great aroma and improves the mouthfeel of the coffee. 5. Triple grind the beans. Ensure that all final grinds are uniform. 6. Double brew the coffee. First in an open pot. Next in a french press. 7. Realize that this is all unnecessary bullshit, say fuck it all and make some drip coffee while forming shampoo mohawks in the shower. |

Measure out 45 grams of beans and run though a burr mill at medium-fine. Return unused beans to jar and evacuate air using a FoodSaver and jar adapter.
Bring 1 liter of filtered water to 205º. Move grounds to a rinsed filter atop a Chemex and add a tiny pinch of salt. Wet grounds and allow them to bloom, then decant the remaining water over grounds avoiding channeling. Remove coffee to a preheated thermos. |

If I have the time to make and enjoy a good coffee I use a French press. If not, I use a preset coffee maker. Beans in the hopper and in the morning it grinds them and dumps it in the brew basket. Starts the brew and shuts off. A very decent pot in the morning but not as good as a press. |

Foldgers/Maxwell house + coffee maker
Did the whole bean thing with a burr grinder for a while. Coffee is better, not enough to get all bent over about it. Not interested in the whole Kuerig thing. I have an older version of something similar. Too expensive, not worth it to me. I drink the better part of a pot of coffee a day. |

I boil mine with the ramen. Only have one pot to clean up. |

This or when I'm out hiking or hunting I have a little French press thing I can use with my jetboil |
