Can someone explain why even hinting about them gets your post deleted?
As a paying member of this website, I would like to be able to talk about their deals and order "at my own risk". I recently posted that "a certain website is selling Lancers for 6 for $55 shipped" and my post is still deleted! They recently had a really good deal, but I never saw it because noone is allowed to share it. So they really banned because sometimes orders take 3 months to ship, or are certain industry partners mad that they can't compete with them? This whole situation is just getting beyond ridiculous. |

Fuck Botach
My personal beef with Botach stems from the fact that I was a rockethub funder for Sierra Nevada Arms, a pretty early funder at that. Excuse after excuse why he isnt shipping the lowers to his funders when they pop up on Botach for sale. They are listed as drop shipped from the Manufacturer. So I left a review stating that SNA hadnt delivered hardly any products to his funders and buyers should be aware that these were being dropped shipped and Botach didnt actually have them in stock either. Buy at your own risk. A couple of days later it was deleted and only 5 star reviews by obvious shills were all that were left. Thats shady as fuck in my opinion. |

Ordered from them back in November, they printed a shipping label the next day so they could charge my card. Shipped it a few weeks later, I had to go out of town for surgery, can't get through to customer service to have the shipping address changed. |

They charge you up front OFTEN for back ordered items that they claim are in stock when you order. Sometimes the items never come in, then you have to fight tooth and nail for a refund. I'm sure plenty of people haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to get a refund and the time is up to dispute the charge. |

So you keep ordering during really good sales that sell out, and your pissed they never turn out? They ran out of stock of discontinued items, and your bitching they couldn't magically make some more? Same thing happened in the amazon thread with amazon themselves... I've had atleast 20+ orders with them, most show up in the mail within 3-4 days. One was a backorder and took a month, the other was the lancers which were cancelled and a refund was given automatically. |

Places don't charge you up front, then use that money to negotiate orders from suppliers and continue to offer items for sale as in stock for two months when they still haven't shipped your order from months ago. You know they pull that bull shit, and they don't refund everyone every time when shit goes south. That's why they were banned and probably struggle with credit card processors, since they violate terms frequently. |

Last time I got in on one of the Botach Lancer mag sales I got several different emails with different excuses, followed by a shipped notification, followed by more different excuses, followed by an email saying: "just kidding we don't have those, but we'll sell you a cheaper mag for the same price." Took about a month, which was quicker than my past Botach misadventures I blame myself, since I should have known better. Never understood the Botach apologists. |

Had about a thousand dollars worth of gear on order before deploying to Afghanistan. Once we found out half the stuff was backordered, we had to cancel. Picked up the stuff from optactical and SKD instead (both great companies). This wasn't the first issue we had with botach. Had to cancel a second order after a couple months of waiting on gear. |

| I'm guessing Dan is tired of you posting that people should buy from a company that has a well known and deserved reputation for fucking people over and doesn't want every thread turned into another "botach isn't that bad" thread. They're bad and you're wrong to think otherwise and you're wrong to not make that clear when giving people advice. Sure they fill some orders, my one order with them was no problem. So stop posting about them in the AR mags section. Problem solved. |
