What are you guys using to store your magazines?

I have all sorts that I need some storage solution for.  Right now, they're just all piled up on a table or in range bags.

AR (20s and 30s), Sig 550 (20s and 30s), 308 PMAGs, AK74, HK91, etc.

There's got to be some nice solution that I'm not aware of.

Ammo cans. .30 cal, 50, or 40mm.

Ammo cans, and plenty of 'em.

That's how I store the majority of mine.

50 cans some 40mm cans and Rubbermaid roughnecks

I was storing them in the safe. I'm at the point now where they're being stored in cardboard boxes on top of the safe. It's a good problem to have.

That's just something else to open.

I was hoping for something where I could easily see what I have ready to go.

Larue sells a nice solution, but it only fits 30rd AR mags.

Then keep a few in a chest rig. Seriously, ammo cans are the most practical storage solution for magazines (we ARE talking about loaded mags, right?). Water/dust proof, and easily transportable. Throw a silica packet in there for long-term storage. Pick your ammo can size based on what type of mags and how many.

Tuff Products 5-in-Line mag pouches in a few Pelican 1650 cases. Cases are sorted by rifle and pistol mags. One day I'll get around to sewing name tapes to the tops of the flaps so I can identify which pouch is for which gun quickly.

A big ass cardboard box.

The ones I use - those are on a shelf, in a rifle, in a range bag, or in a case.

For 30 round AR mags I use clear shoebox size Tupperware totes.  I think they  hold 12 each and they stack well.

They stack easily.  I have a lot of mags though.  Number the bins/totes and list what's inside in a separate notebook.

I went to Tractor Supply and found one of the metal gun cabinets by Homak (I think it Homak) with a dented corner, the manager sold it as damaged and I use it for magazine storage.

Most of my PMAGs are in the small pouches in my range bags, six in a Blue Force bandoleer, ten in a Hawkepaks M249 Ammo Bag (fucker is heavy with some extra pistol ammo and the ten mags); probably another six in my BOB; and four in my plate carrier. Most of my GI mags are in a cardboard box, five are sitting on my dresser, and ten fit perfectly in a Pelican 1200 with only the lid foam.

For loaded mags, I have a knock-off Pelican case that will hold 28 or so.  It's my SHTF grab and go box.

All others...they get consolidated into the cardboard boxes they came in from whatever site I ordered them from.

If they are steel mags, I always thought those magnetic tool bar or fancy magnetic kitchen knife holder things would work well.  Mount the magnetic bar on the inside of the safe door.

I've got somewhere between 175 to 200 PMAGs and 45-50 Glock 17/19 mags.

I store mine in ammo cans (.50 and 20mm), a small Pelican case, a cardboard box, and in pouches on my battle belt, bandoleer, and assault pack.

Wow, I had no idea.  I've never found myself lacking for mags at the range or on a trip, so have to ask why would I need 100 mags?  Not criticizing and more power to ya if you can, just wondering if to stockpile and sell at next panic or epic foing?

I lived through the AWB where I had to carefully nurse 30 year old beat-to-shit Colt magazines and pray when I dropped one the feed lips didn't get bent.

Post-Sandy Hook, good luck picking up a dozen magazines if you decided you wanted the newer MagPuls instead of the less sexy older version.

These are the salad days. AR15s and components (other than ammo) have never been cheaper, higher quality, or more widely available. It won't be this way forever.

Magazine s are disposable when you are in a stressful situation. If you're worried about putting a mag away your ass is going to get shot because you were not paying attention. Long term storage ratio for me is at least 30 mags per rifle. Pistol I am lacking but would like to see 10 for each

That is an aspect I hadn't really considered, but can definitely see being good to stash some away for future if no longer available.  There goes more cash!

Suppose my shtf scenarios wouldn't last more than 10 mags!  That's a hell of an event.
