Kids all long grown up. Away with their families. Just me and wife of 30 years pecking away on computers. I miss the Christmas past of " some assembly required". Tried to Skype grandkids seems Skype now charges Guess I'll just watch Fox news and get more depressed.

At the risk of sounding trite, remember the reason for the season. Do something selfless for someone deserving of it.

BTW: My Christmas will be spent alone as well. Enjoy the quiet.

Reload some ammo. Go to the range. Put on your favorite movie. Molest your wife.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, alacop!

I worked 12.5 hours today and will do it again tomorrow. Girlfriend has a job that keeps her away just the same on holidays. I'm having a rum & Coke. The cats are hungry and the dog has been developing separation anxiety from our work routine.

But...

It was a wonderful peaceful drive home. It was foggy, 48 degrees and the world (well, most of it) is quiet for the moment. I have a roof over my head, a frozen burrito to pop into the microwave, a dog to talk to, cats to talk back and a woman who doesn't care either about the fanfare of the holiday as long as we're together at some point.

Peace be with you on this Holy night..

Warm regards and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and I know exactly what you mean.  My son is grown and left the house almost 10 years ago and I really miss those days sometimes.
