I was thinking of getting together a SHTF preparedness kit for my family,about 7 people such as MRE's,med kit blankets water.And i found a really cool website [url]http://www.majorsurplusandsurvival.com/[/url] Has anyone ever purchased from them or went to the actual store?And any comments about quality? Me and my dad have alot of Firearms and ammo for the whole family juss gotta get more rifles [:D] So is anything else that is a must to have? Thnx- |

if your in the LA/SoCal area and are within an hours drive of Majors, its WORTH the drive. its a big store with lots of fun stuff, some things in the catalog are not seen in the store, and things in the store are not seen in the catalog, so be sure to ask. out front they got the hummvees and other military vehicles which are for sale. they have pre-made survival kits ready to go. its one of my fav stores, and i might be there tomorrow. [:D] |

I had a bad experience with them. I order a used set of British DPMS camo set.I use credit card,they instantly charge it. 2 weeks go by,no cammies,they say they will be here in 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks go by,no cammies,they say they will be here in 2 weeks. I send them e-mail asking why were they were so quick to charge my visa but so slow to send item.They e-mail me back,ignore my question and just say they will be here in 2 weeks. 2 weeks go by,no cammies,blah blah blah 1 mth goes by,blah blah blah 2 mths go by,blah blah blah 6 months after I ordered and WAS BILLED I finally got my camo set.The only good thing was I ordered slightly used and what I got was like brand new.What these assholes did was bill me knowing these cammies weren't in stock and just ASSuming they would get more real quick. That was my 1 and only experience with them. |

Thnx for the input guys [:)] yeahh its about a hour away so it is local to me...Hopefully sometime next week i'll go check it out. But im scared if i go in ill be there for hours buying 3 shopping cart loads of stuff [:D] but what are must buys in a SHTF scenario? |
