don't worry, you will get a proper welcome right after you post pictures. Yeah, I posted the pics via the image button but they either show up as links or not at all. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Someone else said they won't show up until I have enough posts. Quoted:

New here. Made several posts already and have gotten a lot of help already. I've popped in on these boards a few times in the 8 months or so since I've obtained my FPID. Yes, I live in a socialist state that requires an ID to purchase long guns. It also requires a separate permit for handguns. Everyone here has been nice and extremely helpful. As I've mentioned in other threads I've been buying and shooting firearms for the past 7-8 months or so. I got my ID card in May. It only took 9 days to get it. My brother in law whom is a LEO didn't get his for 8 months. My first purchase was a used 2008 Taurus PT1911AR; paid $400 for it. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Taurus but I've never had any problems with it. In fact I love this gun. My second purchase was a 2014 Beretta 92FS (Italian made). I paid $711 for it; in retrospect I probably over paid for it. But again, I'm happy with it. I've been considering upgrading all the polymer parts they used; trigger, safety...etc. But it runs well. Third purchase was kind of on the whim. I went into my FFL to inquire about a Springfield M1A SOCOM and ended up walking out the door with a 2014 Windham Weaponry WW-15 Flat Top. Which gave me the AR disease. I ended up buying a Spike's Honey Badger stripped lower two weeks after buying the Windham. The rest is all down from there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hfegrhi5wz9o7tu/IMG_20140702_184401154.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ndano5m7phxh7lp/IMG_20140711_190416283.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/w0fenotx6pyowfh/IMG_20141010_191430228.jpg?dl=0 I have a completely different handguard and a reflex sight on it now. I actually don't have any new pictures of it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qin1p452tt6zgkw/IMG_20141213_152236842.jpg?dl=0 Sorry about the links. How many people were on the committee that came up with this script? |

I however keep telling myself, "It could be worse, I could live in California, New York, Maryland, or Connecticut. Because those places probably suck even more than Jersey when it comes to my second amendment right." Like I said, the misses and I are planning to move soon. |
Welcome TT. Nice group of tools you have. ![]() Speaking of your tools, they may begin to multiply like rabbits once you move to a free state. You may find that acquiring them without the added baggage that comes with living in a ban state similar to an out of body experience that you'll wish to relive many, many times before the novelty wears off. You have been warned :) |
