We did mold remediation after the hurricanes around '07-'08
My boss would say "mold is gold" 
One house owned by a chemistry professor, a tree fell into the house and everything in a couple rooms was drenched. Dumbass just left wet clothes, papers, and carpet in the one room for over a week. Guess they dont teach common sense in college

| How old is the house? Really old? there's asbestos abatement to think about as well. It won't make you sick immediately, but there are long term effects that shouldn't be taken lightly. It's in stuff like OLD pipe and duct insulation. People shouldn't take it lightly. |

Demolishing a barn. Pulled down a below grade corner CMU wall with a Bobcat mini hoe that had decades of manure and hay fill behind it. Hit in the face with a pall of mold spore suspended dust and didn't exhale fast enough before taking some in. Tickly lungs and light to persitent coughs and intermittant light bronchial infections addressed with zithromax for the first time in my life. Lasted a few years on and off. final outcome is it seemed to have knocked down my total breath capacity and I can hear my chest whistle a bit when laying down at night. There is a name for it, endo something from the sporific toxin trying to establish a culture in your lung tissues. never had it diagnosed, just lived with it and drove it away through hard work, scot german genes and nutrition. Bad JuJu, should have had on protection but I didn't see it coming as i was working with old work as a remodler/builder for the first time and was in a hurry to perform |
