I just realized that I have to got to work tomorrow. I did not have any time off this weekend. I was not at work. Damn! Did you ever have one of those week ends where you were completely busy the whole damn week end?

I work midnight shift on a rotating ten hour day with a very active on call schedule on my "off" days....the busiest time of my business is the weekend evenings...which means my weekends....arnt usually my weekends...
I can't remember when the last time I was off on a Saturday or Sunday... |
Yes, it's that way most weekends. I've only got one kid left at home but she runs cross country, plays soccer and basketball, and is in the band. Damn near every weekend is taken up with her activities and I wouldn't have it any other way. It was even worse when all 3 of the kids were still in school and at home!

| Coil went bad on the Lincoln LS on the way home Friday. Went up to buy a new coil Saturday morning and had to drive by the car lot. Too damn cold to change the coil so I stopped and bought a Dodge Durango. Spent all day today cleaning up the machine shop. Back to work in the morning. No weekend for me either. |

I have a three year old and a two year old. My weekends are chock full of shit to do that no reasonable adult would subject themselves to under normal circumstances.
What with all of the honey-dos, kid stuff, house chores, catching up on from the week before and the roughly 10-12 hours of work I put in from home I haven't had a weekend "off" in about 3 years. All that said, I'm incredibly happy with my life so, I guess it's not a big deal afterall. |

As an example I told him he needed to unload his pockets to get through TSA security. He started dumping pens on the check in desk. Picture things like that while you are still doing your job and then cleaning out storage lockers after till bed, but all week. And then you fly home and weekend is over, and spent the whole time including flights in agony due to back pain. You and I have a job to go to tomorrow. Quit your bitching. |
