I'm looking to identify a WW II shoulder patch - It consists of two upper case A's within a circle. It is not Army Airborne, which has a curved sides on each of the A's.

BTW the AA for 82nd means All American, not Army Airborne.

Is this the side by side AA similar to American Airlines? Is it in blue? Describe it a little more, I may be able to help.

Was it a blue patch with a white center, with to red capital A's, if this is it, its the shoulder insignia for the Anti Aircraft Artillery Command(1942)

If it was a Blue circle with 14 white stars and a white center with two capital A's joined then it was the shoulder insignia for the 14th AA Command (1944)

Hope this helps.

I'm looking at a b/w photo. The insignia has dark AA letters and resembles the early American Airlines logo on a light (white??) background. It is definitely not the 82nd on which the A's have curved sides on a blue (dark) background.

We found it - it is Anti Aircraft Command. Red AA on a white border, within a blue circle. Thanks guys for the feedback.
