What software do you use to check a used Hard Drive with? Windows based here.
I am concerned with bad areas on a SATA 1 drive and a MB that will only support that drive type and a software package that will show me if the used HD is junk or not. Money is tight at this point and the current HD installed, is starting to get sporadic at times. Found a used one to carry me over until I want to step up to the present day and age technology. Would like to sweep it and see if it is dependable or ready for the scrap heap. Maxtor brand. Could upgrade to new equipment & OS right now but don`t have the funds to do it. |
