[ARCHIVED THREAD] - MP question?

What does it take to become an MP, SP. Do you have to go through a 2nd boot camp? Also, what education level is required now days? Please shed some light on this. Thank you!

In the Marines:

13 weeks boot camp
10 days leave
2 weeks Marine combat training
2 months MP school

Then you get assigned a unit. Easy to do, just make sure you get MP in your contract.

You SHOULD have your HS diploma or equivalent, but there are waivers for that...

No prob. Good luck, and remember, whatever the recruiter tells/promises you make sure you get that backed up in writing and talk to someone who has been there/done that.

SP as in Air Force Security Police, or Security Forces? After basic, it's two to four weeks weaps training, a Ground Combat course and the Security Police Academy. I'm not sure what order they're running the schools in nowadays, or how long they are.
