Debating if people have given up their anti-gun stance.

But..... I thought the dems weren't anti-gun.  That would mean they want to ban them all.  They LIED to me! [rolleyes]

go easy on me, i tired to sound a little stup- i mean liberalish.
IMYY4U:
wait a minute, why are guns so bad? i own a few, one for cheap plinking, one with a scope, and another in between those 2. i spend lots time alone as both my parents work, so id like some more protection than 911. i understand restrictions on fully automatic weapons, but what did the '94 crime bill accomplish, wasnt that based mainly on cosmetic features?

i got a  bite!!
Lerini:
I'm pretty certain a lot of it was based on what you call "cosmetic features." However, it included the ban of high capacity magazines. This was to ensure the civiian population had restricted access to more firepower than law enforcement.
One part I don't agree with, however, is that you cannot have an adjustable rifle stock. That seems to be a safety hazzard. Not being able to adjust the rifle to your proper fit is like having a car seat locked all the way to the rear - you're screwed if you're a short person.

Man, those guys are funny! Just look at the debate between Submariner and Mary_:

Quoted:
In Florida I live about a mile from the Post Office and the National Enquirer offices that were anthraxed, and work about a mile from that beach motel that the 911 muslim terrorists lived in. Also, concurrently, burglaries have been going up in my neighborhood since the Bush Reich was installed.

For those reasons I changed my stance from "I don't need one in my life" to "Better safe than sorry". I hope never to use it, but if a radical Muslim ever becomes a threat to me, then this .45 Auto will be between us.

After I read this, my first instinct was to think how a total liberal nutcase would respond. As I was thinking, I scrolled down and saw this:

Quoted:
Really I am not following your logic. If it can be called that. What it sounds like is a racist diatribe.

That is WRONG and unconscionable.

Love your gun all you want but stop spewing racist hooey.

Exactly the kind of nonsense I was thinking they'd respond with. DUh.com is always good for a few laughs.
