Who here hunts with electronic hearing protection? What brand/model and why. I need to protect my hearing as I use it to make a living.

Please give me some user based feed back. Not just don't by brand xyz because they suck kind of stuff. I would like to hear from the actual users.

Thank you

Dillon HP-1's NRR 21, light, not too expensive, good battery life, true stereo. Great for outdoors work. A little too loud for indoors, but easily solved with secondary ear foam.

I just got a set of the Peltor Tactical 6s to hunt with. I've only used them once at an indoor range so far, but I like them a lot. I had to get something to protect my hearing from my Dan Wesson .44 mag. That thing is LOUD. I have also used my dad's Peltor Tactical 7s a number of times. They are a little quieter, but they are a bit bigger. Both of them are comfortable enough that they could be worn for long periods of time. The Tac 6s are on sale at CDNN for $120.

I don't hunt, but I have a Peltor 6. I think the Peltors are the best, because they shut-down the impulse noise the fastest. I have tried others. My buddy has a unit from Selencio, and it wasn't as good as the Peltors. The Peltor 6 for $120 at CDNN(CDNN is a good deal.
