Went to WholeFoods today and they had some local vendors hawking their wares.
It was good because some of them own the companies of the products they were selling.

The first was River Road coffee. I tried a cup and like it so I pick up a bag for home. I askthe guy giving out the coffee
about it being local. He pointed to a picture of a guy on the back which was the founder. It was him. Based out
of Baton Rouge.

Next was a dressing & marinade, garlicky vinaigrette called Re: . Met the owner a young woman who started making the dressing and was using beer bottles
for containers. She  kept the beer bottle shape/color once she decided to go commercial. good light flavor with good hit of garlic.

Next was Old New Orleans Rum . I all ways wanted to try their rum and today I got the chance. This is my new rum of choice.
The cajun Spice will be used in the christmas eggnog at passgas55 house this year. I plan on taking the tour of distillery soon and sample all their products.

Every chance I get I will sample the local products. The cost is on par with the national brands but the quality beats them hands down.
