Black Adder Goes Forth is some of the finest television ever made.

Episode one to the end.

Saddest show in history.

Good.

But sad.

I watched it for the first time while my late wife was in the final stages of her battle against cancer. Might have had an influence.

I love Black Adder, hilarious.  The Black Adder Christmas Carol is a hoot, definitely worth a watch.

Throw in Red Dwarf, and that is some good, fun nights there.

Black Adder/Lord Flashheart and the wind in his hair.

Red Dwarf and going to bed with Wilma Flinstone

Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words "I have a cunning plan" marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

The first season with Brian Blessed kicked ass, as did all the rest of them.

The last episode "Goodbyee" was powerful,  poignant - i think that is a good word to describe that episode.  the futility and fear those men must have been feeling waiting for that order to go over the top, into the slaughter

My thoughts exactly.  A somber end to a funny series.
