| I know about the EDC thread in the "carry issue" forum. But it's mostly a bunch of wallet, keys, knives, and guns. What I want to see is what people keep in a EDC bag. Not necessarily a BOB. I carry a small assault backpack that keeps some work essentials in it. Such as PPE, phone charger, can opener, extra pens, etc. Does anyone else here do something similar? If so, what do you keep in your bag? |

What answers do you seek? Maybe I can help. Nah. I'll just keep clicking on Chokey's link. Eventually it will open a tab with info. |

I am a backpack hoarder. I have a bookbag one I carry to keep my things in when I go out, mostly like my wallet, meds, edk stuff When I walk to work I use a camelback alpine explorer. There are two different models, I prefer what I think is the older one. It's awesome cause it has this airflow type pads in the back so my back doesn't get sweaty. I can put a tablet or something in the hydration pocket. It carries the weight of my lunch well, sometimes I bring several days worth to keep at work, plus there's the drinks. The hipbelt helps, and I clip my gps to the pec strap. If I'm going out of town and wish to carry a more extensive BOB type stuff I use my maxpedition or cheap knockoff. I can put a change of clothes in there, plus other comforts. I usually still have my bookbag one for my wallet and stuff. I lose track of things, using this system has helped. The only problem is that I have so many backpacks I sometimes leave things in pockets of backpacks and have to put them all in a pile to find something. Examples of things I pretty much always have: headlamp and spare batteries. For work walking it's a small headlamp. Anywhere else its my princton tec apex. Handheld gps. Blister kit. OTC meds Kershaw leek with grip tape. spare phone charging battery. Odds and ends zippered pouch containing things like lighter, safety pin, pen, rubber bands, small bungie, esbit tab. mulitltool. |
